For Fishery Owners

Your fishery deserves to be represented by useful, accurate information. Going Fishing Directory gives fishery owners and authorised representatives a straightforward way to help keep their venue information current.

Your Fishery in the Directory

Going Fishing Directory is being built as a practical reference for coarse anglers. Rather than providing only a name, photograph and contact details, we aim to give anglers the information they need when deciding where to fish.

A fishery listing can include individual waters, species, depths, peg numbers, ticket prices, facilities, opening information, fishery rules, regular open match days and seasonal fishing advice.

Claim Your Fishery

If your fishery is already listed, you can claim it as its owner or authorised representative.

Claims are reviewed before access is granted. This helps protect fishery information and ensures that management access is only given to someone with a legitimate connection to the venue.

Once a claim has been approved, your fishery becomes available through your Owner area, where you can maintain its information.

Keep Your Information Current

Fishery information changes. Prices are revised, rules change, facilities improve and waters develop over time.

The Owner area allows you to maintain the practical information anglers see, including facilities, ticket prices, waters, species, rules, seasonal advice and regular open match days.

Keeping this information current helps anglers arrive with a better understanding of your fishery and what to expect when they visit.

Structured Information, Not Advertising

Going Fishing Directory is designed as an information resource, rather than an advertising directory.

Fishery information is therefore presented using the same structured format throughout the Directory. This makes it easier for anglers to understand and compare venues while giving every fishery the opportunity to provide useful information about what it offers.

Claiming a fishery does not change the Directory's publication standards. We retain responsibility for the structure and integrity of the Directory while owners help us keep the factual information about their venues accurate.

Not Listed Yet?

We do not add fisheries simply to increase the number of listings in the Directory. There needs to be enough reliable information available to create a useful record for anglers.

If your fishery is not currently listed, that does not necessarily mean it cannot be included. Providing accurate information about your venue may allow us to create a suitable Directory entry.

Working Together

Nobody knows a fishery better than the people who run it. By combining that knowledge with a consistent Directory structure, we can give anglers better information and help them discover fisheries that suit the way they want to fish.

Our aim is simple: accurate information for anglers and a fair, useful representation of the fisheries that provide it.
