About This Fishery

A spring-fed, three-lake fishery set in the beautiful Pewsey Vale, established in 2011-12 as a farm diversification on wet ground unsuitable for cultivation. The lakes are surrounded by 5,000 planted trees and protected by a 1,000-metre otter fence, with a strong conservation focus alongside a growing head of quality carp and coarse fish.

Fishery Rules
Tackle
  • Barbless hooks only on all lakes.
  • No braided mainline. Minimum 5lb mainline on the match lake; minimum 15lb mainline on the specimen lake.
  • No fixed rigs - all rigs must be free running.
  • Specimen lake: minimum 10lb mainline, wetted carp unhooking mat required, landing net minimum 80cm at widest point. No keep nets on specimen lake.
  • Two rod limit on all lakes except specimen lake which permits up to three rods.
Bait
  • All nuts are banned.
  • No groundbait.
Conduct
  • No bivvies or kit to be left unattended.
  • Unhooking mats and wetted towels must be used when handling fish.
Access
  • A valid Environment Agency rod licence is required.
  • No fishing from islands or wading in the lake.
Safety
  • Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
