About This Fishery

A five-lake, 100-peg complex set in 12 acres of natural valley on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds near Spilsby, fed entirely by Spilsby Sandstone springwater. Originally three tree-lined pleasure lakes developed by tackle industry veteran John Middleton, expanded in 2004 with two purpose-built match and specimen lakes. Willow, Elm and Oak cater for all abilities; Ash and Hawthorn are adult-only (16+) match and specimen waters. Ten disabled-access pegs. Touring pitches also available on site. Angling Trust member.

Original lake, approximately 25 years old. Former trout fishery, now coarse. Fed by stream and spring at the head of the valley ensuring constant flow of oxygen-rich water. Tree-lined pleasure lake. Initially stocked with Mirror and Common Carp showing exceptional growth rates to 15lb+.

Fishery Rules
  • All anglers must check in at the shop on arrival.
  • Ash and Hawthorn lakes are adult only -- minimum age 16.
  • Under-16s must be supervised by an adult (18+) at all times.
  • Children (0-12) with a paying adult are charged as an additional rod.
  • Concession ticket: ages 13-18, 66+, or blue badge holders.
  • 24hr and night fishing available by advance booking only.
  • No movement of cars after dark.
  • All nets, slings and unhooking mats must be disinfected before use.
  • Fish care spray is mandatory -- sold in the shop at trade price. Apply to all hook holes and visible sores.
  • Rods must not be left unattended at any time.
  • No braided mainline.
  • Anti-tangle tubing must be used on all rigs.
  • No fixed leads or elasticated feeders.
  • Keepnets permitted with prior permission only -- no carp in keepnets.
  • Do not handle fish with towels or cloths -- always kneel when handling or photographing fish.
  • All fish must be returned safely and unharmed.
  • Unused bait must not be thrown into the lake.
  • Boilies permitted on Hawthorn Lake only.
  • No imitation baits (plastics).
  • No dog or cat meat.
  • No nuts.
  • All feed baits to be used in moderation.
  • Hawthorn Lake (specimen): micro barbed or barbless hooks only, size 10-6. Minimum 12lb mainline recommended. Must have fish care spray, carp cradle, 36"+ landing net, specimen sling and fresh water co
  • Bivvies only on site -- no tents. No BBQs within 3 metres of your bivvy. No retaining fish overnight.
  • BBQs permitted but must be raised off the ground.
  • No drugs permitted on site.
  • Alcohol is allowed -- anti-social or drunken behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times -- please clean up after your dog.
  • All rubbish must be taken home or placed in the correct bins (General Waste / Mixed Recycling / Glass).
  • No driving on grassed areas.
  • The bailiff's decision is final at all times.
