Hatherton Lake is the centrepiece of Walsall Arboretum, a Grade II listed Victorian park opened in 1874 and set within 170 acres half a mile from Walsall town centre. The lake has a long fishing history and supports a variety of coarse fish. Day permits are available on the bank at GBP5, with fishing available all year round subject to seasonal restrictions.
