About This Fishery

Silksworth Lakes occupies the site of the former Silksworth Colliery, reclaimed as a fishing complex in the 1980s alongside the wider Silksworth Sports Complex. Two well-established coarse lakes - Bottom Lake and Top Lake - are managed by the Sunderland Freshwater Angling Club, with Bottom Lake stocked for over 25 years and Top Lake added in 2006 with specimen carp in excess of 10lb. Night fishing is available by prior appointment.
