About This Fishery

One of the North West's premier coarse fisheries, set over 70 acres with 394 pegs across 15 individually landscaped waters near Warrington. The Coveys (6 snake lakes) are regarded as the UK's number one match venue, while Holbar is the dedicated specimen carp lake. Partridge Lakes offers fishing for all styles and abilities, with an on-site café, tackle and bait shop, and an active open match and club match programme.

Fishery Rules
  • Barbless hooks only. Maximum hook size 14 (size 12 on Willow, Piper, and Gold Lake).
  • No keepnets.
  • Maximum 2 rods per peg. Rods must not be left unattended.
  • No braided lines. Only use in-line method feeders. No elasticated methods except the Guru X-Safe system. No fixed rigs or floatless rigs.
  • No nuts, cat/dog food, bloodworm or jokers, floating baits or surface fishing, artificial baits, or meat.
  • Groundbait limit: 2kg per peg.
  • No night fishing.
  • No dogs on the lakes (dogs are permitted in the café area).
  • All juniors under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
  • Holbar Lake: maximum hook size barbless size 6. No wading. Landing net minimum 36". Use carp cradles or large unhooking mats. No carp to be retained — immediate release required. Minimum main line 10l
