About This Fishery

A free-to-fish council lake set within the ancient woodland and open parkland of Middleton Park in South Leeds, managed by Leeds City Council. Despite being a free water, the lake punches well above its weight with a surprisingly diverse and quality stock including carp to over 20lb, tench to 9lb, big chub, pike to 25lb and a small population of Wels Catfish. Tarmac paths throughout the park give excellent disabled access, and the park cafe is a short walk away.
