About This Fishery

Manor Farm Lakes is an extensive 100 acre Fishery based in the heart of Central Bedfordshire, with easy access from the A1. Manor Farm Lakes consists of a range of 7 different fishing lakes with a 17 van touring caravan site with electric hook-ups and fresh water supply.

A range of Fishing experiences are catered for at Manor Farm Lakes including Carp Fishing for pleasure anglers and specialists, Night Fishing, Fly Fishing for Carp, Match and Coarse angling as well as Predator spinning, lure and deadbait fishing in the winter months.

Access point for fishing the River Ivel (ticket purchased via Blunham Lake; stile access, caution advised re: predator electric fence). No spodding permitted on this lake.

Largest lake on the complex. Gravel pit excavated late 1980s, now part of the Warren Villas nature reserve. Considered one of the more difficult lakes, particularly rewarding for patient anglers. Stocked with 200+ carp (many dark chocolate-coloured, several high 30s). Strong tench and pike present. Winter pike fishing permitted here (1 Oct-31 Mar).

Purpose-built, opened 2005, staggered/herringbone peg formation. Float-only venue. Ideal for children/beginners, also used for club/organisation matches (prior booking, £50 deposit). Keepnets cannot be used when fished on a normal day ticket (match use only). STATUS: a recent site snapshot showed this lake flagged "closed for site maintenance" — reconfirm current status before publishing as bookable.

Fishery Rules
  • All bookings must be made online in advance — do not arrive on site without pre-booking
  • One non-fishing visitor permitted per angler plus children, £5/day ticket visitor, £8/24hr ticket visitor, booked online
  • Under 9s fish/visit free with paying angler, can stay overnight but cannot fish overnight, no unsupervised wandering
  • Under 14s accompanied by adult at all times
  • Under 18s can night fish only when accompanied by an adult
  • Alcohol permitted but must be used sensibly
  • No dogs anywhere except the caravan park (on leads) or walked on leads to adjoining Biggleswade Common
  • Pike fishing permitted on Becks and Booneys Lakes only — no live baiting, spinning/deadbaiting only
  • Drop shotting for perch allowed year-round
  • No spodding on Anne's or Blunham Lakes
  • Fishing from designated pegs only, some may be closed for health/safety reasons
  • New Lake Record or 40lb+ catch protocol: call the bailiff for verification; catches between 6pm-7am require a seamless start-to-finish video showing scales zeroed with sling before weighing
