About This Fishery

One of the largest commercial fisheries in the UK, with 18 well-stocked lakes across three phases and over 600 fishing pegs near Nuneaton. Catering for pleasure, match and specimen anglers, the complex has been running for over 30 years and hosts major events including Fish O Mania qualifiers. On-site tackle and bait shop, cafe, lodges and touring/camping facilities.

Fishery Rules

Tackle

Barbless hooks only -- maximum size 10 (size 6 on Lake 1). No micro, pinched or crushed barbs of any kind.
Fishing from designated pegs only. Landing nets must be used.
Maximum 2 rods per person. Second rod subject to additional payment.
No keepnets except in authorised competitions.
No spinning, fly fishing, bait boats, boats or rubber dinghies.

Bait

Makins own fishery feed pellets must be used on all lakes. Available on site in 2mm/4mm/6mm/8mm sizes.
No bread between April and October. Bread permitted as hookbait only November to March.

Conduct

No dogs, open fires, BBQs, alcohol or drugs on site.
No refunds on tickets purchased.

Access

Night fishing permitted on Lake 1 only. Must be booked in advance.
Report to reception on arrival.
Valid EA rod licence required at all times.

Safety

Juniors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
