About This Fishery

Situated in rural north Cambridgeshire, Waterbeach Angling Club or WAC, as it is affectionately known as, offers some of the best fishing in Cambridge. Whether you choose to purchase a clubcard (issued annually) or a day ticket on the bank you can be assured of tranquil surroundings and a quality fishing experience.

WAC is not a commercial run fishery with profit in mind. It is a fishing club lovingly attended by local volunteers.

Tackle
  • Anglers must supply their own landing pole/handle
  • Barbless hooks only, maximum hook size 14
  • Maximum 1 rod or pole per person
  • No braided line
  • No elasticated feeders
  • No keepnets at any time
Bait
  • No meat, beans, nuts or floating baits
Conduct
  • Do not harm or feed wildlife
  • Do not leave tackle unattended; take all litter (including fishing line) home
  • No alcohol, drugs, drones, bait boats, BBQs or dogs
  • No fish may be removed from the lake

  • Anglers over 12 require a valid EA rod licence; under-16s must be accompanied by an adult
