About This Fishery

A family-owned coarse fishery tucked in the Loxley Valley above Hillsborough, set within a small industrial estate yet surrounded by beautiful South Yorkshire moorland. The 32-peg lake features a dozen sunken islands and good lily coverage, offering barbel, chub, carp and bream to visiting anglers.

Tackle
  • All anglers are to have their own landing nets, no exceptions.
  • All feeders and bombs to be completely free running, no elasticated methods and no stops or knots above feeder or bombs.
  • ALL LANDING NETS MUST BE DIPPED UPON ARRIVAL, STRICTLY NO TAKING NETS UP THE BANK UNTIL DIPPED.
  • Barbless hooks only, max size standard size 12.
  • No baiting up with another rod or pole cup whilst you are already fishing with any other.
  • No bite alarms/test curve rods/carp set ups, we are a mixed fishery with "match" size carp
  • No braided mainlines or hook lengths.
  • NO floating baits.
  • No floating poles. A float must be used on all pole rigs. Jiggas and overshotted rigs are fine to use.
  • No rods left in the water unattended.❗️
Bait
  • Course/carp pellets to be used only. NO halibut or trout pellets.
  • Groundbait to be fed through pole cup or feeder only, No balling or catapulting it in, Max 3kg
  • NO bloodworm and joker.
  • NO boilies (wafter/dumbell type hook baits ok).
  • NO pet food of any description.
Conduct
  • No bait to be thrown in at the end of the day.
  • No fish to be held in rags and to be immediately returned to the water.
  • PLEASE TAKE ALL LITTER HOME

  • ALL anglers to be in possession of a environment agency rod license.
