About This Fishery

A seven-acre award-winning nature reserve on the A158 between Wragby and Horncastle, with a two-acre spring-fed main lake dating back over 100 years and a smaller front pond. Run by Karl, Patrick and Sandra, most of the fish stock are bred on site. Hot food is delivered to the peg. Campsite and holiday accommodation also available on site.

Fishery Rules
  • Booking required — call, text, email or Facebook message before arriving.
  • Gate opens at 7am and closes at 6pm (winter: dawn till dusk).
  • Night fishing only permitted after completing at least three day sessions.
  • All anglers must hold a valid fishing licence.
  • No angler under 16 unless accompanied by a fishing adult.
  • Nets and slings to be disinfected in dips provided at the car park.
  • Barbless hooks only — no nipped or micro barbed.
  • No bent hook rigs; single hooks only (treble hooks permitted for pike fishing).
  • No fixed rigs — rigs must allow the weight to fall off if snapped off.
  • No braided or lead core mainline, except for pike fishing.
  • Maximum of two rods unless three-rod ticket purchased.
  • No rods to be left unattended at any time.
  • Landing nets to be used for all fish.
  • Unhooking mats to be used for all fish.
  • No keep nets.
  • No carp to be kept in keep nets or sacks.
  • All fish must be returned to the water.
  • Fishing from designated swims only.
  • No litter, radios or excessive noise.
  • Groundbait in inline method or cage feeders only; particles and pellets are fine loose.
  • No cat or dog meat.
  • No whole tiger nuts (cooked and crushed are permitted).
  • No live bait or coarse dead bait for pike; dead sea baits only.
