A two-lake carp specialist complex near Mirfield built on former gravel workings, offering some of West Yorkshire's finest specimen fishing. The 10-acre Big Lake holds over 450 carp including 70 thirty-pounders and 5 fish over 40lb, with the lake record standing at 46lb 8oz. The 2.5-acre Small Lake offers a runs-water experience with 500-plus carp and a 2-rod limit. All sessions are pre-booked and pre-paid -- no walk-up day tickets.

Fishery Rules

Tackle

Barbed or micro barbed hooks only on Big Lake. Barbless or micro barbed on Small Lake.
Big Lake: cradles and cot-sided mats only; flotation retaining slings must be used.
Minimum 42-inch landing net. All nets must be disinfected in tanks provided on arrival; rinse in lake after 20 minutes.
No braided main line on Big Lake. Minimum 12lb mono.
No leadcore, leaders, or knots behind the hook link swivel.

Bait

All particles and fake baits are banned on both lakes.
No maggots 1st March to 1st November.

Conduct

All carp to be returned via sling or zip mat immediately after unhooking. No carp sacks. No keepnets.
Dogs permitted (Small Lake only) if well-behaved. Must be kept under control; all mess cleared immediately.
No tents or visitors permitted. No climbing over the lake fence.

Access

All sessions must be pre-booked and pre-paid in advance. No walk-up day tickets.
Big Lake: 24-hour minimum booking. Sessions run 10am to 10am.
Fishing from designated swims only.
No entry or exit from Small Lake during hours of darkness. All gates must be closed.
Park in designated car parks only. Track around Big Lake allows parking behind most swims.
Small Lake: 24-hour minimum booking. Sessions run 12pm to 12pm.

Safety

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No under 12s permitted on the Big Lake.
No rowing boats, guns, swimming, fires, BBQs or fire pits. No unattended rods.
