About This Fishery

A family-run, all-year-round coarse fishing complex near the M180 at Messingham, with four extensively stocked match and pleasure lakes in peaceful surroundings. On-site facilities include a fully-licensed cafe serving hot food from 7am, a bait and tackle shop, toilets, and safe parking.

Fishery Rules
Tackle
  • All nets must be thoroughly dried before use on the lakes.
  • Barbless hooks only, maximum hook size 12. Anyone found using barbed hooks will be disqualified and banned from the fishery.
  • Keepnets must not be lifted prior to the official weigh-in. Bailiffs weigh all fish at the end of matches to prevent damage to stocks.
Bait
  • Fishery pellets only (feed and hook pellets), available from the on-site bait and tackle shop or cafe. No external pellets permitted.
  • No cat food or dog food.
  • No floating baits, including the feeding of floating baits. Floating pole methods are allowed provided the bait is presented below the surface.
Conduct
  • Dead fish will not be weighed — anglers are expected to take care when unhooking.
  • No litter — litter found in a peg will result in the angler not being weighed in.
