About This Fishery

Two purpose-built fishing lakes set in attractive countryside between Bradford and Bingley, off Lee Lane near Cottingley. Both lakes are heavily stocked with a wide variety of carp alongside chub, barbel, roach, tench, bream and golden orfe. The complex hosts regular matches alongside pleasure and carp fishing and has on-site facilities including toilets and a food and drink service.

Tackle
  • All anglers must have a suitable landing net and unhooking mat.
  • Barbless hooks only.
  • Excessively heavy main line is not permitted.
  • Main line must be sensible and appropriate for the fishery.
  • Maximum hook size: No. 10.
  • Maximum of 2 rods per peg.
  • No fixed rigs.
  • No keepnets.
  • No landing net or unhooking mat means no fishing.
Bait
  • No bread.
  • No dog food or cat food.
  • No floating baits.
Conduct
  • Anyone found breaching the rules will be asked to leave and permanently banned.
  • No bikes or toys at any time.
  • No dogs allowed on the lakes.
  • No drugs or alcohol on the lakes at any time.
  • No fires or BBQs.
  • No fishing between pegs.
  • No foul language.
  • No littering, including cigarette ends. Please use the bins provided.
  • Random tackle and bag checks may be carried out at any time. All anglers agree to comply with these checks.
Access
  • All anglers must hold a valid Environment Agency rod licence where legally required (13 years old & over).
  • All vehicles and belongings are left on the premises at the owner's risk.
  • Farview Fishery accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to vehicles or their contents.
  • No large groups of spectators.
  • Proof of licence may be required at any time.
Safety
  • All fish must be returned to the lakes.
