About This Fishery

Three 22-acre reservoirs in wooded countryside near Solihull, owned by the Canal and River Trust and nationally renowned as a prolific match venue. Engine Pool is heavily stocked with carp and bream; Windmill Pool is known for bream, skimmers and specimen pike. The site has been popular with anglers since Victorian times and underwent a major restoration programme in the early 2000s.

Tackle
  • Barbless or de-barbed hooks only.
  • Method feeder used in conjunction with a pole is not permitted.
  • Pike fishing restricted to lures only between 15 March and 30 September inclusive.
  • Unhooking mat recommended for larger fish.
Conduct
  • All fish must be returned to the water.
Access
  • Car park barrier height restriction: 2 metres (Malt House Lane car park).
  • Day tickets available from the bailiff on the bank.
  • Matches must be booked in advance via the CRT online account.
  • Valid EA rod licence required at all times.
