About This Fishery

Seven spring-fed coarse fishing pools covering 18 acres in the Forest of Mercia near Hammerwich, established in 2001. With 145 pegs across pleasure, match, and specimen waters, Coppice Lane is one of the most successful fisheries in the Midlands, offering hard-based pegs, a lodge cafe, and online booking for the specimen pool.

Fishery Rules
Tackle
  • All nets must be dipped prior to fishing.
  • Barbless hooks only. Maximum hook size 12.
  • No keepnets except during matches.
  • No method feeders or fixed bolt rigs. All lines must have a float attached.
  • One rod only per angler on day ticket waters.
Bait
  • No groundbait, bloodworm, joker, boilies, trout pellets, hemp, seed baits, nuts, macaroni cheese, floating baits, dog meat or cat meat.
Access
  • Coppice Mill Specimen Pool: anglers must be 18 or over. Online pre-booking required. No non-angling guests.
  • Day ticket must be purchased from the pay station before fishing. Anglers found not to have pre-paid will be charged GBP 10.00 on the bank.
