About This Fishery

A 6.5-acre estate lake set within 150 acres of ancient bogland and lowland heath at California Country Park, originally excavated in the 19th century for brickmaking. Longmoor Lake features five islands, 33 swims all suitable for disabled access, and a hard-surfaced footpath around the entire perimeter. Managed by Wokingham Borough Council Countryside Service. Day tickets purchased from the car park machine.

Access
  • A flexible 1-month closed season applies when fish are spawning. Signage will be erected on site. No fishing during the closed season under any circumstances.
  • All anglers aged 12 and above must hold a valid EA Rod Licence.
  • Day tickets purchased from the car park ticket machine. Enter "FISH" as your car registration and as the reference. Pay separately for car parking. Telephone card payment also available -- call 0118 9
  • Fishing is permitted from dawn to dusk only. Night fishing is restricted to Specimen Group members who hold the relevant permit.
  • Tickets and permits are not transferable.
