Broom Family Lake

A small, family-friendly coarse lake set within private grounds on the Shuttleworth Estate near Biggleswade, run by Embryo Angling Habitats. With 8 swims and a very high stock of carp from 4lb to 20lb, bites are near-guaranteed, making it ideal for beginners, junior anglers and families.

• Barbless hooks only.
• 2 rods per swim maximum (3 rods permitted when sharing a swim with a junior angler).
• Minimum reel line 10lb.
• Minimum landing net size 60cm / 25 inches.
• No braided mainline (braid permitted on marker/spomb rods only).
• No bait boats or hard boats allowed.
• Large unhooking mat required at all times.
• All nets and mats must be dry before entering the fishery to prevent the spread of disease.
• Vehicles to be parked in designated car park only — keep off the grass at all times.
• Bivvies must be pitched within designated swim boundaries. No tents.
• Opening and closing times are not negotiable. You must leave before the stated time on your ticket or purchase an extension.
• A valid EA Rod Licence must be in your possession when fishing.
• Dogs are permitted but must be kept under control within the confines of your swim. All mess must be cleared up.
• BBQs must be raised off the ground. No open fires.
• Intoxicated or anti-social anglers will be asked to leave the venue.
