Bradwell Lake

Milton Keynes' northernmost lake, around 23 acres, bordered by the River Great Ouse and the Grand Union Canal. Developed with a Sports Council Lottery Grant, including 18 wheelchair-accessible pegs out of roughly 60 in total. Run by Milton Keynes Angling Association, the largest angling club in the area.

• Day Member Tickets sold on the bank, cash only, paid to bailiffs on their rounds — no membership required to buy one
• 2 rods maximum on the lake (3 rods maximum with appropriate licence/upgrade), 2 rods maximum on the river and canal section
• River closed during the traditional close season; lake and canal open all year
• Valid EA rod licence required (2 licences required if fishing 3 rods, per EA bylaws)
• Under 13s must be accompanied by an adult and limited to 1 rod; under 17s must be accompanied by an adult for night fishing
• All fish except Zander must be returned alive (Zander must be humanely dispatched, an invasive species)
• Signal Crayfish must be humanely dispatched and removed, never returned to any UK water
• Maximum 40lb of fish in any single keepnet at any time
• Suitable landing net required at all times; specimen/large-fish anglers need a net with minimum 30in arm length (or 24in diameter) plus an unhooking mat at least 18in x 36in
• No live fish may be added to any water
• No fixed leads/feeders that can't release on breakoff; no bent hooks; wire traces mandatory for pike fishing
• No overcasting onto the far bank, no fishing from boats, no bait boats or drones for bait/tackle delivery
• Minimum 50lb shock leader required when using spods/spombs
• No barbecues or fires
• No dogs on the bank
• Cars only in designated parking areas
• Maximum stay 6 consecutive nights, no return to the same venue for 72 hours after
