About This Fishery

Family-run day-ticket fishery on the rural-urban fringe of Altofts, operating since 1998 across five well-maintained lakes offering everything from busy match-style snake lakes to the older, more contemplative Frog Hall Lake. Tickets are transferable between lakes, and bailiffs collect payment bankside. No night fishing.

Over 100 years old, sheltered in the far corner of the farm with parking beside the lake. Heavily stocked with carp to 26lb and a variety of silverfish. Small, intimate water easily disturbed - start on the far bank and work inwards.

Built 1996. The most popular lake on the complex - arrive early to secure a peg. Carp to 28-30lb alongside a good head of silverfish. Responds well to pellet waggler, pole shallow, and method feeder. Evening margin fishing produces the biggest fish.

No fixed leads.

Access

Closed every Monday, except bank holidays.
Last entry 3pm. Lakes close at stated time.
No night fishing. Day fishing only.
One child aged 10 and under fishes free with a paying adult on the same platform.
Payment is collected bankside by staff. Card and cash accepted.
Tickets are transferable between lakes on the same day if space is available.
