Opening Information Home Lake: walk-up, dawn to dusk. Specimen, Marshview, Blackcomb, Whistler: booking required, 24hr sessions from 10am. Mon–Thu day sessions available on booking lakes (dawn to dusk, book 1 day in advance). Weekend minimum 48hrs.
About This Fishery

Six carp lakes set in farmland between the Lincolnshire Wolds and East Coast, 2 miles from the coast near Mablethorpe. Home Lake is a walk-up pleasure fishery with mixed coarse species; the remaining lakes are dedicated carp waters with booking required, ranging from 3 to 13 acres with carp to 43lb. Caravan and motorhome CL site on site.

Fishery Rules
  • Barbless hooks only.
  • Single hooks only.
  • Maximum of two rods.
  • Landing nets to be used for all fish.
  • Unhooking mats to be used for all fish.
  • No keep nets.
  • No rods to be left unattended.
  • All fish must be returned to the water.
  • Fishing from designated swims only.
  • No litter, radios or excessive noise.
  • No angler under 15 unless accompanied by a fishing adult.
  • All anglers must hold a valid rod licence.
  • Micro barbed hooks only, maximum size 4 (no barbless on carp lakes).
  • Maximum 3 rods on carp lakes.
  • No braided mainline; braided hook lengths permitted.
  • Minimum 42 inch landing net on carp lakes.
  • No fixed leads — lead must be able to break free.
  • Rig tubing only — no bare line after lead.
  • Large unhooking mats with sides or cradles required — no flat mats.
  • All nets, unhooking mats and weight slings to be dried in the sun before entering the site.
  • No nuts of any kind.
  • No particles (including sweetcorn and maize).
  • No surface fishing.
  • No zig rigs.
  • No plastic bait.
  • No shelf-life boilies (except on the rig).
  • No retaining of fish — all fish to be returned immediately.
  • No swimming or wading.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • No tents allowed on carp lakes.
  • Carp care kit must be available at all times.
  • No glue to be used on rigs.
  • Maggots permitted from 1 November to end of March only.
