About This Fishery

A friendly two-lake coarse fishery on the western outskirts of Bedford, with hard-standing platforms on every peg and full otter fencing on both lakes. Jack's Lake offers 30 pegs and Sam's Lake 18 pegs, both stocked with carp, tench, barbel, chub and bream. Popular with match anglers and pleasure fishers alike.

Fishery Rules
  • Arrival between 8am and 10am only. No access to the fishery after 10am unless special arrangements have been made in advance. Closing time is 5pm.
  • Under-14s must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • No moving from lake to lake once fishing has commenced.
  • All hooks must be barbless, maximum size 12.
  • 1 rod or pole to be used at any one time.
  • No braided lines or braided hook lengths.
  • Maximum elastic: 16.
  • All feeders and bombs must be free running. Ensure they are Guru X Safe feeders.
  • Only fishery landing nets and unhooking mats to be used. Anglers must supply their own landing poles -- none provided by the fishery.
  • No surface fishing. No floating baits.
  • No meat baits.
  • Feed pellet must be fishery pellet only.
  • No keepnets when pleasure fishing. In matches, a minimum of 2 keepnets must be used with fish split equally between them. Maximum 50lb per net. Silver fish to be kept in a separate net and weighed sep
  • All fish must be returned to the lake immediately after unhooking.
  • All waste must be taken home. Leave your peg as you found it.
